Reading the Sun at lunchtime (must campaign for some better papers in the breakroom) and the bulk of the letters were about how Britain must ban burkas.

Now, I don't particularly like the idea of forcing women to cover themselves up completely lest they tempt some poor sod with too much testosterone, but last time I checked this was a relatively free country. We certainly didn't have a list of what you could and couldn't where.

One of the letters was from a woman complaining about some Muslim women who had the audacity to be buying petrol when she was there with her son. She said their apparence scared her little boy. Maybe if the cow had bothered to bring her son up with the idea that there are people who are different to them, he might have had a clue.

Other people were saying how dare these people come to our country and dress differently. Why didn't they intergrate and stop sticking out? Because everyone who wears these things has obviously just smuggled themselves into the country right?

Here's an idea: maybe there is no such thing as dressing Britishly.

IQ of average goat > IQ of average Sun Reader (although only just as you are counting for approximately 50 Sun readers by reading it in your break time). Remember this fact.

I actually do agree with you. How people choose to dress is entirely up to them. I reckon we should all don larp kit and appear at that woman's house and get Marcus to scare her son :-) I think that then she'll know what it means to be scared rather than Xenophobic.

We have the Sun, the Mail, the Telegraph and the Western Daily press at work.

The telegraph is too big to read easily and I tend to read the Sun over the Mail as the mail usually makes me angrier.

First they start on headscarves/coverings, what else will they start on? Hooded tops have already been banned in some shopping malls - and whilst I hate the way chavs do seem to hide underneath them, they also have a human right to wear what they want.

If you read the Metro recently as well, a guy got arrested for wearing a Jesus is a Cunt t-shirt - which is a Cradle Of Filth slogan. We'll soon have to start protecting Ryan and his kind from persecution, if he ever comes back!
