The webcomic is lovely, very sweet though sometimes painfully sad. I highly recommend it. Also, Order of the Stick especially if you are D & D player.
Speak of very sweet series, there is a newish anime showing in Japan at the moment, Kamichu. Its the story of a middle school student who wakes up and discovers she is a goddess. People's reactions to her deification are wonderfully understated.
"I woke up this morning and found out I was a goddess."
"Really? What sort are you?
"I don't know. It has only just happened so I haven't found out yet."
As well as the world's first school girl deity it has an utterly lame town god who'd rather be in a rock band, and the first episode has a very grumpy typhoon.
